Description
Located in south central Nebraska along the boundary with Kansas; 77 km (48 mi) south of Grand Island; County Seat: Red Cloud.
History
Named for Daniel Webster (1782-1852), American Statesman. In 1870, the Rankin colony of Omaha, established the first settlement in Webster County. Boundaries were established on 16 February 1867. NE-T18/p144)
