Description
Located in eastern Seward County, approximately 32 km (20 mi) west of Lincoln.
History
Named by JH Culver, United States Army Captain, for the picturesque valley in which the community is situated. The community originally was located 2.4 km (1.5 mi) NE of its present location and was supplied by railroad service. (US-T131/1960/NE Place-Names, JT Link,p132) Platted in 1883.
