Description
Located in southeastern Nebraska along the boundary with Kansas, 90 km (56 mi) south-southeast of Lincoln; County Seat: Pawnee City.
History
Named for the Pawnee Indian Tribe. Boundaries were defined on 6 March 1855 and 26 January 1856; they were reapproved on 8 January 1862. (NE-T18/p110)
