Located in southeastern Nebraska along the boundary with Kansas, just east of Beatrice; County Seat: Fairbury.
History
Named for Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), third President of the United States from 1801-1809. Boundaries were defined on 26 January 1856. (NE-T18/p81)
