Description
Located 113 km (70 mi) E of the community of Scotts Bluff. County Seat: Oshkosh.
History
Named by Oshkosh realtors John T Twiford and William R Twiford who descirbed the area as the "garden spot of the west." Garden County was formed from the northern portion of Deuel County. (US-T131/1960/NE Placenames,p65)
