Description

Located in southeastern Nebraska, 77 km (48 mi) west-southwest of Lincoln; County Seat: Geneva.

History

Named for Millard Fillmore (1800-1853), 13th President of the United States from 1850-1853). Fillmore County was established and approved by the Legislature on 26 January 1856, and formally organized in 1871. (NE-T18/p59)
