Located in southwestern Nebraska, 130 km (80 mi) SW of North Platte. County Seat: Benkelman.
History
Named for Judge Elmer S Dundy (1830-1896), a former resident of Falls City (Richardson County) who served on the United States Circuit Court. Dundy County was established 27 February 1873. (US-T131/1960/NE Placenames,p58)
