Description
Located in eastern Nebraska along the Missouri River and the boundary with Iowa, just north of Omaha; County Seat: Plattsmouth.
History
Named for General Lewis Cass (1872-1866), American statesman and patriot. Boundaries were established on 7 March 1855 and redefined 26 January 1856. (NE-T18/p30)
