Incomplete record. Northwest-southeast trending mountain group comprising, along with the Saint Joe Mountains, the northwest part of the Bitterroot Range just northwest of the Bitterroot Mountains; they are bounded on the north, northeast, and east by Pend Oreille Lake and the Clark Fork; on the south by the Coeur d'Alene River and its South Fork, Lookout Pass, the Saint Regis River, and the Clark Fork; and on the west by Coeur d'Alene Lake and Rathdrum Prairie.
