Description
Sun Creek is located heads in Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest/Lee Metcalf Wilderness, 4.8 km (3 mi) N of Hilgard Peak, flows W then SW then W to enter the Madison River 3.2 km (2 mi) NE of Gold Butte.
History
The name recognizes the existence of a prehistoric glyph in the shape of a sun found near the stream.
