Description
Located 5.5 km (3.4 mi) NE of Red Mountain, 11.3 km (7 mi) WNW of the community of Rexford, 6.4 km (4 mi) from the Canadian border.
History
A proposal to change the name Marias Mountain to Maria Mountain was submitted in February 1998. In October 1999, the proposal was rejected by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names (USBGN).
