Description
Located 0.8 km (0.5 mi) southwest of Fortine and 1.6 (1 mi) west of the Kootenai National Forest boundary.
History
A proposal to change the name Dry Lake to Eagle lake was submitted in September 1998; the proposal was rejected by the USBGN on 8 July 1999. The decision was made in agreement with the Montana Board on Geographic Names because of the lack of evidence of local support for the change.
