History
Named for Dr. William Thomas Pecora (1913-1972) geologist, Director of the U.S.G.S. (1965-71) and Under Secretary, U.S. Dept. of the Interior (1971-72), who made geological investigations in the Bearpaw Mountains for over 30 years.
