Description
Located 5.3 km (3.3 mi) southeast of Sykes Corner, 4 km (2.5 mi) south-southeast of Burditt Reservoir.
History
Named for nearby Maverick Gulch. A proposal to change the name to Buffalo Reservoir was submitted in March 2003. In January 2005, the proposal was rejected by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names (USBGN).
