Located adjacent to Old River and the Illinois State boundary, 5.5 km (3.4 mi) SE of Kaskaskia and 18 km (11.2 mi) NNW of Perryville.
History
Reportedly named for St. Marys Landing, which was established by Augustus Henry St. Mary in 1809 as the shipping point for St. Marys Seminary at Perryville.
