Description
On the NE side of Isle Royale, on the N shore of Rock Harbor at Rock Harbor Lodge, 5.3 km (3.3 mi) NE of Mott Island.
History
At its September 1984 meeting the Board approved the name Snug Cove and not Snug Harbor, but at its January 1985 meeting the Board reconsidered the September 1984 decison on Snug Cove and approved Snug Harbor at the suggestion of the National Park Service.
