Description
Located 17 mi NW of Worcester (US-T121).
History
It was settled in 1709 and incorporated as a town in 1775. So named because part of the area of the town was granted to inhabitants of Braintree, MA, as a reward for their services in the Indian Wars of 1675 (MA-T1/p33).
