Description
Located 12 mi SE of Fitchburg (US-T121).
History
It was settled in 1704 and incorporated as a town in 1732. Named in honor of John Harvard (1607-1638), minister in Charlestown who gave funds and his library toward the establishment of Harvard College, also named for him (MA-T1/p23).
