Description
Located 5 mi E of Fitchburg; Worcester County (US-T121).
History
It was settled in 1721 and incorporated as a town in 1728. Named in honor of King George II (1727-1760), one of whose hereditary titles was Duke of Lunenburg (MA-T1/p28).
