Description
Located 10 mi W of Fitchburg; Worcester County (US-T121).
History
It was settled in 1764, incorporated as a town in 1785, and as a city in 1923. Named in honor of Colonel Thomas Gardner (1724-1775), who fell at the Battle of Bunker Hill (MA-T1/p20).
