In Massachusetts Bay 2 mi N of Hull including Great Brewster, Little Brewster, Middle Brewster and Outer Brewster Islands; City of Boston.
History
Named for Elder Brewster (MGB 1932). The name was published as "The Brewsters," "Brewster's Islands" and "Bruster's Rocks" by S G Drake in 1856. The islands were granted about 1644 to the Town of Hull by the General Court but were later claimed by the City of Boston. The islands were taken over by the Commonwealth of MA by eminent domain (US-T121).
