Description
Thompson Island is located forms E boundary of Dorchester Bay 4 mi N of Quincy Center; City of Boston.
History
Named for David Thomson (or Tompson), early settler, to whose son, John Thomson (Tompson), the island was granted in 1634 (MGB 1932).
