Description
On Quincy Bay 0.8 mi NE of Quincy; City of Quincy.
History
The city has revived the old name applied to this locality in the 17th century, when according to Bradford's History, Morton and his mates "chainged allso (sic) the name of their place and instead of calling it Mounte Wollaston, they call it Merie Mounte (sic)" (MGB 1932).
