Description
Located 23 mi SW of Boston (US-T121).
History
Settled in 1657, incorporated as a town in 1713. Orgin of the name is uncertain. The name may have been suggested from its location, on the Old Post Road, midway between Dedham and Mendon. Another theory holds that it was named for the River Medway in England (MA-T1/p30).
