Description
Located 14 mi NW of Taunton; (US-T121).
History
Settled in 1661, incorporated as a town in 1905. So named by Mr. Joseph T. Bacon, local factory owner, who objected to Slackville, the name by which the community was then known (MA-T1/p37).
