Description
Located 16 mi S of Boston; Norfolk County (US-T121).
History
Settled before 1700, incorporated as a town in 1888. Named for William Shakespeare, Bard of Avon, at the suggestion of the local schoolmaster, Dr S S Gifford (MA-T1/p7)
