Description
Located 10 mi NW of Boston (US-T121).
History
Settled in 1640, incorporated as a town in 1713. Probably named for Robert Sutton (1661/2-1723), Lord Lexington, but may have been named for the parish of Lexington, Nottingham County, England. Before 1713 it was called the North Precinct of Cambridge (MA-T1/p27).
