Description
Located 10 mi S of Lowell (US-T121).
History
Settled about 1640, incorporated as a town in 1729. Probably named in memory of the first misister of Concord, MA,the Reverend Peter Bulkeley (1583-1659), who came from Bedfordshire, England. Another theory is that it was named for the third Duke of Bedford (MA-T1/p8).
