Located 8 mi NW of Boston; Middlesex County (US-T121).
History
Settled in 1640, incorporated as a town in 1850. Named in honor of Colonel William P. Winchester (1801-1850), of Watertown, who donated $3,000 for municipal purposes (MA-T1/p52).
