Description
Located 16 mi W of Boston; Middlesex County (US-T121).
History
Settled i 1638, incorporated as the Town of East Sudbury in 1780. So named because it was originally the eastern section of Sudbury. Renamed Wayland in 1835, in honor of Dr. Francis Wayland (1796-1865) (MA-T1/p48).
