Description
Located 22 mi NW of Boston; Middlesex County (US-T121).
History
Settled in 1638, incorporated as a town in 1871. Named for Amory Maynard (1804-1890), founder of the first textile mill, which was the predecessor of the American Woolen Company (MA-T1/p29).
