Description
Located on the NH-MA boundary, 9 mi NW of Lowell; Middlesex County (US-T121).
History
Settled 1656, incorporated as a town in 1680. Named in honor of the mother of one of the petitioners for the grant of the land of the township, Mary Tuyng, who emigrated from Dunstable, England, about 1630 (MA-T1/p17).
