Description
Located in Berkshire Hills, 14 mi SW of Greenfield (US-121).
History
Settled in 1761, incorporated as a town in 1781. Inhabitants considered the area incorporated in Goshen the best part of the parent town of Chesterfield and selected the name of the old Hebrew town of Goshen, which is described in the Book of Genesis as the best part of Egypt (MA-T1/p20).
