Description
Located 17 mi SE of Greenfield; Hampshire County (US-T121).
History
Settled in 1738, incorporated as a town in 1743. Named in honor of Thomas Pelham-Hollis (1693-1768), Duke of New Castle, who was in MA at the time of incorporation (MA-T1/p36).
