Located 10 mi N of Springfield; Hampshire County (US-T121).
History
Settled in 1727, incorporated as a town in 1768. Named for John, Marquis of Granby, afterwards Duke of Rutland, who was Master-General of the Ordinance, 1763-1772, and a member of the British Cabinet (MA-T1/p21).
