Description
Located on the CT-MA boundary, 14 mi SE of Springfield; Hampden County (US-T121).
History
Settled in 1715, incorporated as a town in 1775. Named for Sir John Monson (1693-1748), president of the British Board of Trade and friend of Thomas Pownall, Royal Governor of MA (MA-T1/p32).
