Located in Berkshire Hills, 5 mi W of Greenfield, Franklin County (US-T121).
History
Settled in 1756-60, incorporated as a town in 1768. Named for the second Earl of Shelburne (1706-1761), who sent the town a bell to use in its meeting house (MA-TI/p42).
