Located in Berkshire Hills, on the VT-MA boundary, 8 mi N of Greenfield; Franklin County (US-T121).
History
Settled in 1738, incorporated as a town in 1784. Named for Leyden, Holland, where the Pilgrims lived before coming to America (MA-T1/p27).
