Description
Located 13 mi NW of Gloucester; Essex County (US-T121).
History
Settled in 1638, incorporated as a town in 1639. Named for Rowley, Yorkshire, England, the home of the Reverend Ezekiel Rogers, who was head of the Rogers Company which founded Rowley (MA-T1/p40).
