Description
Located on the NH-MA boundary, 8 mi NE of Lowell; Essex County (US-T121).
History
Settled about 1642, incorporated as a town in 1725. Named by Governor Dummer in honor of his friend Lord Paul Methuen (1672-1757), then English Minister to Spain (MA-T1/p30).
