Description
Located on the N coast of Martha's Vineyard, on SW shore of Nantucket South, 2 mi E of Vineyard Haven (US-T121).
History
Named Cottage City in 1880 because of the large number of summer cottages. Renamed Oak Bluffs, in 1907, probably because of its natural surrounding. Settled in 1678 and incorporated in 1880 as the town of Cottage City (MA-T1).
