Description
Located on W tip of Martha's Vineyard, 14 mi SW of Vineyard Haven; Dukes County (US-T121).
History
Previous name, Gay Head, was suggested by the gaily colored cliffs at the southwesterly end fo the town. Settled in 1669 and incorporated on 1870 (MA-T1).
