On Nonamesset Island 1.4 mi SW of Woods Hole; Town of Gosnold.
History
The name "Munsod Pond" was reported in 1889 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) as the feature was enclosed by a long spit leaving a narrow channel connecting to the ocean. the spit and the "pond" became a "cove" (US-T121).
