Description
Yokun Ridge is a distinct 9-mile ridgeline including West Stockbridge Mountain and Lenox Mountain (including the summits of Mahanna Cobble, Yokun Seat, and Baldhead); it is a sub-range of the Taconic Mountains.
History
Named for Jehoiakim Yokun, an Indian of the Mahican tribe who owned much of the ridge around 1740.
