On Lower Cape Cod, 0.2 mi E of Herring Pond and 0.3 mi SW of Eastham; Town of Eastham.
History
Renamed in the 1960's by the Selectmen of Eastham and Mr. Richard Van May, principal land owner for "The Windmill," erected near the lake in 1793 and is the oldest windmill in working condition in MA (Board on Geographic Names (BGN) files).
