Description
Located in downtown Baltimore along the west side of the Inner Harbor.
History
The name Federal Hill commemorates the celebration and march of thousands of Baltimoreans to this hill to celebrate the ratification of the Federal Constitution in 1788 by the Maryland General Assembly. This site provided an excellent view of the city and harbor, and served as a strategic lookout point during several wars. Today, the neighborhood is designated a Federal historic district. (US-T121)
