Description
Located behind Urbana Elementary School, just north of Interstate 270, south of Route 355, 10 km (6 mi) south-southeast of Frederick.
History
Named for the birds that frequent the area's ponds and wetlands; the great blue heron is also the symbol of the Chesapeake's Save the Bay Program.
