Description

Located at the south end of Patapsco River Neck at the mouth of the Patapsco River, 17.7 km (11 mi) southeast of downtown Baltimore.

History

This cape was the location of the Battle of North Point during the War of 1812, concurrent with the attack on Fort McHenry. 9,000 British troops landed and skirmished with the Americans before withdrawing. (US-T121)
