History
1896 Board on Geographic Names (BGN) Decision revised to establish name in accordance with local use; all sources since 1942 show the name Harwood; in 1957 U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported that "the name Butlers has been discarded and the name of the Post Office [Harwood] applied to the community".
