Description

Located in north central Kentucky, along the Ohio River and the boundary with Indiana, about 80 km (50 mi) northwest of Lexington; County Seat: Bedford.

History

Established in 1836, named for Robert Trimble (1777-1828), Kentucky Statesman, who later served as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court from 1826 to 1828. (KY-T1/p298)
